Console tables are versatile, and greatly useful. The one shown is in the entry of my house near the front door. I use it to store shoes on the shelves, and other decorative items I have made on the top. It can also be a good spot for your every day items such as keys and mail, as all flat surfaces tend to be.

There are other versions of these tables, such as ones that can be placed behind couches, or in hallways. Styles and finishes can be varied to suite the rooms décor.
