Coffee Tables
This particular Coffee Table was the first smaller one I made. With a newborn in the house, I tried to make sure that all corners were rounded and all surfaces were as smooth as possible. I limited the spaces where little fingers could get caught in, and I countersunk and hid all of the screws.
The top and shelf were made from reclaimed wood I found at a local junk yard. I was able to clean it and cut it true so it made nice solid surfaces. The remainder was made from pine lumber I have had for some time. The Top was put together with biscuits and glue. The shelf was just glued together out of smaller strips of wood. The frame assembly was with glue and pocket screws, placed so that all holes were covered with the top and shelf. Finally, the top and shelf were attached just with countersunk screws.
